MySQL Code Contribution Program
While most of the code of the MySQL products is written by employees of
MySQL AB, we welcome contributions by companies and individual contributors. In
an attempt to make it easier to contribute code to our projects, we have
created the MySQL Code Contribution Program.
The Code Contribution Program is for code that goes directly into the MySQL-owned and managed code base. We have attempted to streamline and consolidate the legal process by moving to the Sun Contributor Agreement (SCA), which we encourage contributor's to sign online via our online form.
Beside the legal side of the contributor program, there is the development aspect. Contributors may need help and guidance from MySQL developers. For both the legal and development aspect, the MySQL Community Team is the proxy.
Potential contributors are encouraged to contact us via the community-contributions@mysql.com mail address. You should also subscribe to the internals@lists.mysql.com mailing list, where you can approach us with specific questions and discuss the technical aspects of your contribution.
