FOSDEM 2010

[edit] Introduction
FOSDEM is probably one of the largest gatherings of Open Source Developers and Projects in Europe. The tenth edition will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 6+7 February 2010 in Brussels, Belgium.
This time, the MySQL Project will be present as follows:
- On Saturday, 6th, we plan to arrange a joint dinner open for everyone from the "MySQL & Friends" community. It will be coordinated by Kris Buytaert. If you'd like to join, please leave your name and food preference on this doodle poll. We plan to meet at 19:00, under the big tree in front of the AW building.
- We will have a Developer Room titled "MySQL and Friends", which will provide a venue for talks about MySQL and related projects. Each session will last for 20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. The MySQL Developer Room will only be open on Sunday, 7th of February, from 9:00-17:00. The FOSDEM organizers granted us room AW1.121 with a capacity of 81 seats (in the building "AW"). It is equipped with a video projector with VGA cable and Internet connectivity (wifi A and B only, no wired).

[edit] Call for participation
The organizers are looking for your support and contribution! In addition to employees from Sun/MySQL, we would also like to encourage and invite members of the MySQL Community to contribute to making the MySQL project's presence a success.
Here is how you can help:
[edit] Record/transcribe sessions
For people that could not make it to FOSDEM or any of the sessions, it would be nice to be able to provide video recordings or transcriptions (e.g. live blogging) from these talks. We're looking for volunteers to record the sessions! If you have a video camera or are an expert blogger, we'd like to hear from you.
