Patch Contributions Pipeline

This page contains information about contributions received from the community and the status of those patches. Each contribution should be associated with a bug report in the Bug Database which should be kept upated to reflect the progress.

This table lists all current pending community contributions we're aware of and working on.

We're in the process of adding these contributions to the Bug Database for easier tracking - they will be tagged with Contribution and are either marked as S4/Enhancement request or with the respective severity level, if it's a patch to fix a bug. The complete current list of contributions can be displayed with the following saved searches in the Bug Database:

The table below is incomplete and may not be up to date. Please refer to the respective bug report for details. In fact, this table will probably be removed once all bug reports are updated with the current status - use the saved search queries above instead.

Basic Data (identifiers)

1. Name of Contribution: short description of the patch
2. Contributor: Name of contributor
3. Target Software and Version: Server, Scripts, Connectors (including version)

Data Supplied by Contributor

1. Web Link: Link to where contributor publishes his patch
2. Email: Pointer to email (sent to Legal) where contributor passes on patch to us
3. CLA received date: When Seattle got the signed CLA
4. Test Case Received: when (if at all) contributor supplied test case for the patch
5. Documentation Received: when (if at all) contributor supplied basic documentation for the patch

Contact Persons at MySQL

1. Community Contact: coordinator in the MySQL Community Team
2. Architecture Contact: who in Architecture is OK with applying the patch
3. Legal Contact: when necessary, contact in MySQL Legal Team
4. Development Contact: who in Development is checking, applying the patch
5. QA Contact: Who in QA is checking the patch

1. Server Version: 5.0.29, 5.1 etc. where the patch will appear (if possible, including minor version)
2. Code Reviewer: name of developer who did the code review
3. Architecture Approval Date: when the Architecture contact OKed the patch
4. Code Review Date: when the Development contact reviewed the contribution
5. Test Case Updated Date: when the QA contact updated a test case in the source tree
6. Documentation Date: when the MySQL Docs team patched the Community documentation
